Prakash Bal Joshi is a multifaceted personality with four decades of creative writing and international recognition as an artist. His work is spontaneous and brush strokes are full of energy brining the picture alive.
He has three books to his credit. "Maitrinichi Goshta" (story of a friend), a collection of short stories, “Gateway" explores complexities and contradictions of urban living in Mumbai, accompanied by sketches and award-winning book “Prakash Bal Joshi yanchya Katha “.
He has developed his art and held several solo and group shows of his paintings - oil on canvas in India as well as abroad and received good response in Las Vegas and Minneapolis in USA, Basel, (Switzerland) Lisbon (Portugal), Norway, Osijek, Croatia, and other centers in Europe, Izmir in Istanbul, Bhutan and other art hubs. He is appreciated for his spontaneous art works which raises philosophical questions of existence and try to answer through his abstract art.
His art installation – Gods Particle –in India Art Festival, Mumbai 2012 received international appreciation as scientists related with the scientific experiment got Nobel Prize in 2013.
He was appointed as a jury for an international art competition organized by a renowned art gallery, Belgravia, Mayfair, London and WCA. He has been appointed as ethics adviser by the Paris based international group of artists – World Citizen Artists with worldwide representations.
